Family Archive from Hawthorn, Victoria

These ten 35 mm negatives were neatly stored in a colourful cardboard box. Most were processed by Kodak Specialist Service for Miniature Films and have dates and locations written on them by hand. Some also have stamped dates on the lid apparently added by the processing lab. Inside the box was a 28 mm push-on aluminium lens hood. It was adapted from a smaller hood of approximately 25 mm diameter. The films were shot in the late 1940s, making them the oldest 35 mm negatives in this collection.

The archive was purchased by the previous owner in Hawthorn, Victoria. The photographer and people on the photographs remain unknown.
